Who should be the next Axe Manufacturer of discussion? VOTE

Can links to these manufacturer-specific threads be put into the top of the Axe Info sticky?

If any mods are reading this I have a fantastic format for doing this sort of thing. I was an administrator of another forum for many years. We used this system and it works fantastic. PM me for details.

The railroad hatchet you gave me was a Flint Edge. But you also threw in a Plumb, looks like a Jersey or Rockaway pattern. Some mushrooming on the poll but not a speck of rust on her. I'll post a pic.

Side note: I scored a nice old CMStP&P RR pick a couple weeks ago. It's sitting next to the hatchet in my collection. Looks like it's never touched the ground. Not a great stamp but it's still pretty sweet.

I have a few Plumbs. Here's a few of them from the Boys axe thread.

There are a few more around here somewhere. I did give away a boys axe and a cruiser head to a friend on another forum.

Boy's axe with a hardened poll? How cool is that! Talk about a do-it-all axe.
Surely there are more Cedar patterns out there. All I have seen are Plums and the biggest are boys axes. On some of them I notice chipping on the poll instead of mushrooming and on others mushrooming.

While we're waiting for the history piece, here's a couple photos.

Snagged this in spite of the fact that it looked like it'd been dipped in paint a couple times, I liked the lines of it and the price was right. After passing it over a couple times in the basement and thinking it was probably a waste of good beer money, I got out the flap disc and decided to see what was under all that paint. And what do you suppose I found?

This inspired me to clean up some other apparently nameless heads I hadn't dealt with yet. Found two AmericanAx heads, an Emerson and Stevens, a PV (horribly abused, unfortunately) and a JJ Higgins. Not so bad all said and done, considering I didn't pay more than about ten bucks for any of them.

Well, looks like Plumb will be the next one, but for the one after that I'd be very interested in either Rixford or Emerson & Stevens.

I just picked a little Plumb, I guess we call em cedar patterns around here, with the beveled polls. It was 15 dollars with free shipping in that popular auction site. A little rust but no nicks, no mushrooming, in good overall shape. One of my signature snipes off the newly listed buy it now filters. Was happy to get, I think it will make a nice little axe.
