Who uses a Slip for pocket carry - show yours

Good deal. I like the briaded thong. Clever how you brought the thong back on itself to form the loop. Nice job!!!

Thank you Gary. Here's some more ranchy pics for you.

Ken just about every one I know has quit Wranglers. They changed their patterns and they just don't fit right any more. That was kinda dumb cause I knew folks that bought em by the case, but no more. Many have gone to Levi 501s and I think for pure durability they would be at the top of the list. I've got quite a few pairs. Problem for me is they don't make em long enough which is why I shotgun my jeans into my boots often. Like in this pic below

Holy smokes! I'm 6'4" and had to get my 38" inseam 501s hemmed quite a lot.

I use the KSF slip that came with my Scagel folder

Haha I'm 6'5" and I buy 36's. My wife always says I have a long torso (duh) and short legs. I'm like wtf my legs are not short! Women. She's like 5'5" and thinks she's taller than me half the time. Guess that happens after knowing each other for so many years. Again, women.

Mac, great work on that buckaroo. An older friend gave me his grandfather's favorite slipjoint. I'm terrified to lose it but if I ever get over that I think a similar slip would be in order. Hate to lose a cherished knife nearly 100 years old though...

Yep but us Kaboys got to have the stacks (wrinkles down over the boots), so that the jeans don't ride up your leg while riding. 36 x 40's are the only way to go.

That makes sense actually. My leathers are long. I wear tall racing boots and I don't like the leathers riding up on the boots. I could put em inside but I'd look more like a power ranger than I already do. You, you probably just look more manly or cowboy-ish or whatever. Still, I get the gist. Working attire is different from street attire. ;)

While not specifically for folders, here's a couple sleeves that I made for myself for back pocket carry. Wanted something thin for an Izula, in leather. Also something for a spare 1911 magazine to drop into pocket.

Dave's buckaroo pouch great idea and this lanyard idea looks like icing on the cake. Looks like good work all around to me.

One I made for a friction folder, but works on most of my GEC's like my 72's and 42's as well. Put a loop on the back incase I want to belt carry.

I'm enjoying my "GunstockJack" pocket slip and it has sure conformed to the knife/knives, mostly #15 patterns, over the last few months.
Thanks Barry!

i really like this thread and actually totally forgot about it until now. pocket slip is actually my preferred way of carrying if the knife allows for it. (partially because i tend to always poke myself with part of the sheath or the handle when belt carrying ;) )

do these count? they are not all slips, but all of them are for pocket carry and don't have any other mounting option:

I've been a fan of pocket slips for a while now saves the knife from 'clunking' around with all the other detritus (keys/coins etc) in my pocket
Some of my users and home made slips
