Who wants a free trip to jail

Do you think this guy has a clue that this a highly illegal weapon? Do you feel as if someone should notify the buyer of its being illegal to own or possess? Man, some people are stupid...........

Man.
I was almost afraid to leave a reply on this one. The surprising thing is that FOUR guys are trying to outbid each other. It sure seems like SOMEBODY would have clued these guys in that this is SO illegal. Somebody is going to the big house to live with Bubba for a little while.

Wow, I'm kinda surprised that the seller doesn't include any disclaimers about "no spring" or "non-functional." Seems kinda stupid to just throw it up there, like waving around an Uzi in a shopping mall and yelling "fully automatic, first five hundred takes it."

Hmm, someone is certainly going to end up in trouble. If you can be jailed for having them in the US, I reckon it'll be flogging and drowning over here.

Just a thought - even if it was 'deactivated' by removing the spring, would it actually be legal?

Andy

WOW! I thought they were like "plastic" guns - things that don't exist but we outlaw anyway. First I've ever seen.

Don't know the legality of it. Not as bad as a harpoon gun.

Looks like one of the USSR Russian sprung knives. If it is one; they were crap with a range of a couple of yards and a little like firing a hand held Piat gun.

I wonder what this poor slob did to get attacked by a wood fence?

You must admit the price is a bargain - you get the knife and a chance at a long-term, all expenses paid holiday!

ballistic knives are COMPLETELY illegal. even possesion of one will get you sent to prison (much less carrying one, or using it :eek

All I can say is that the guy who's selling it better have someone ready to bail him out or else, he'll be using soap on a rope where he's going.

Someone should tell this guy what a moron he is for putting the buyer and himself at risk to do some jail time. If you check his other auctions he has sold toy race cars and china, he obviously knows nothing about knives or the laws governing them. I feel a moral obligation to let this guy know that what he has sold is highly illegal.

what's to say it will be sold in the states... as usual, we're jumping the gun.

The BALLISTIC KNIFE! I remember these. You could order them out of the back of Soldier of Fortune back in the 80's for about 80.00. I have seen a couple at Dallas gun shows on display at a private table, and they were Not For Sale.

Wow - eBay dropped the ball on that one. Usually, they police "suspect" auctions (auto knives, etc.) Hope none of the Feds are looking...

Tag,

Actually, the seller's profile is in Pennsylvania, which would lead me to believe that he's in the US.

I went ahead and sent the highest bidder an email to warn them about it.

I'd feel bad if someone just was ignorant of the law, saw this on ebay and said "cool beans!"

You guys might want to tell the winner yourselves cause he posts here. I'm pretty sure he knows the score.
Bob

While I agree that the buyer and seller should be warned about the 'legal' status of this knife, does anyone else question the 'illegality' of buying or possessing said knife?
