The knife laws are pretty much a stupid waste of time.
Murder is already illegal, regardless of what implement is used.
Assault with a deadly weapon is already illegal, and includes ANY device which was used which was capable of doing severe/fatal damage; no need for extra categories.
They do nothing other than fill up the law books, making them fatter; to some people, this denotes security.
I see it for the illusion it is.

Any knife law out there is pointless and illreasoned. 4-ich locking gravity switchblades blady blady blah, It doesn't matter. A manual folder is just as deadly as a switch blade and a gravity knife is no deadlier than a regular knife. It's stupid. I ALSO HATE THE USAGE OF "CENTRIFUGAL FORCE!" It doesn't exist. Shows how knowledgeable people are when making up laws.

I would like slide opening auto's to be legalized, so for that I chose "yes" because there wasn't an in-between answer (at least for law enforcement in my state since that is a grey area and not a definite answer).

It's been my observation (and likely other's as well) that prohibition of anything only has an impact on those who adhere to the Governing Laws, criminals will continue to carry as they choose (handguns/auto blades here), should there be Weapon Control Laws? yes as you don't need to be carrying a huge Bowie knife as your Metropolitan EDC, blanket bands seem to be a knee jerk reaction/attempt to curb such weapons used in assaults & crimes...

As you didn't have a Law modification option I didn't vote :D

i agree with the repealing of EVERY LAW for which you can not write an actual HUMAN'S name in the "victim" box on the incident report. as far as i'm concerned if "State of blah blah blah" is listed as the victim, it's not a crime, regardless of what the law says.

In sixth grade I was stabbed with a #2 pencil...ever since I have been on a crusade to ban all writing implements from school grounds (first and second amendments be darned)

And don't get me started on little league...allowing little children to gather with deadly bats and throw balls at each other is simply insane!!!;)

I agree whole heartedly.

No repeal.

.........the right of the people, to keep and bear arms..........

We got all the laws we need (2d Amendment).

We just need to enforce THAT ONE.

Do you need a car capable of going over the speed limit? Do you need a 3000 sq ft house? Do you need 400 channels, HD and a DVR?

NO...but this is America, so get whatever you damn well please. Life would be so much better if everyone stopped meddling in the affairs of others.

Every knife and gun law should be repealed, punish the crime, not the implement used. Doing that only hurts those who already follow the laws.

I own sears Craftsman screwdrivers and hammers that are inherently better weapons than any knife i own. Weapons laws, blech.

It seems like most vocal of our citizenry have never had much experience or training with various weapons. They see a switchblade as a dangerous weapon and never stop to think that the hoodlum on that James Dean movie was what made the knife a dangerous weapon. A switchblade/revolver/M249 sitting on a table will never kill anyone. Once you pick up that tool and commit yourself to using it on a human, only then will it ever hurt someone.

yep, inanimate objects are neither good nor evil. i have an 8 yr old that can tell ya that :)

i heard someone say something that stressed that point. a funny modification of an existing saying - "guns don't kill people. I kill people" :D
