I've got a Sebenza 21..and a BM 940-2 now the million dollar question is:
Would you sell the 940 to fund a BM Anthem? Or just convince myself that CRK did it better and pass?

Cons:
-Ive watched many reviews and the only really complaints I could have with the knife is the gamble with the "fit and finish" of a knife at this price point. (Although I wouldn't be settling for a "First Production" model in hopes of the fit and finish being better as they produce more.)
-Pocket clip? (maybe, I felt as if the clip is intentionally done that way in order to save the pocket?)
-It's BM's Sebenza? So no point in purchasing what you've already got.

Pros:
-Incredible action on the Anthem. As the Sebenza can be flicked, it is not always the best way to appreciate the craftsmanship.
- Would be the first integral knife in my collection
-20CV Steel which would also be new for me, would love to see what kind of edge/retention this has as I'm avid sharpener.
-New and improved Axis lock

Edit: Looking at it the G3 and 940 would pay for this knife on the exchange. I guess its a matter of Quality vs. Quantity ?

I said no, but in the end if you like it, get it. It is quite different than the other two you have. I was hotly wanting an Anthem for about 2 weeks til I realized the clip holes on presentation side were not to my liking, there was nothing I liked about the clip, and for such an elegant high end knife the hex nut axis lock and stud just seemed to industrial. Too many marks against it for me personally.

The whole it being an integral really never mattered to me. Oh, and whatever you choose, you’re not a dummy.

Thank god. I thought for sure you were going to ask us to solve a murder investigation. I cannot deny the appeal of the anthem, but I'm pretty damn happy with my 940. Doesn't seem like the upgrade is worth the admission price, especially since my 940 is in 20CV.

Im trying very hard to tell myself this man, but in the end if I can sell my G3 too (as a fixed blade just doesn't work itself into my current rotation enough),then the knife is practically free if I manage to score one of of the Exchange here.
Get the Anthem.

Now watch the CRK guys cry.
You make a valid point..

Yeahhhh the left hand carry clip holes are a huge bust for me as well..shame they don't just produce this knife to lefties per request. But then I guess we are "playing favorites" :D

It's like an apple vs orange question to me. But since I know the taste of both, I might try a new thing for another manufacturer. I'd keep what I got, if I like them both.

It's more a fact of trying something new from BM. But I also don't want to feel like I've got 2 Sebenza's sitting in my drawer..one with Axis and one without.

Get the Anthem.....
As expected. Was honestly hoping for some good arguments but Im sure the Anthem for most, is not where it needs to be for the price they ask.
Although the damn sound of the blade deploying and closing is choice...

I'll give you 2.
Axis lock.
20V steel.

And some more
You can probably operate it just as fast as the 940... Lock... unlock.
Muscle Memory will be on the money.

Con : Like most Benchmades these days , a little overpriced. Even if the fit and finish is ok. If.

Only way I'm buying an Anthem:

1) I actually get to fondle the one I'm buying in a store and it's PERFECT, or;
2) Someone on here sells me one and tells me it's PERFECT beforehand.

I like mine, but I got to handle it first at my local shop. I will say this though, he got 2 in the first shipment and one was perfect (the one I ended up buying) and the other was pretty much a disaster, bad grind, poor centering and gritty action. Again though, mine was perfect. Hopefully they got all the bugs worked out by now. Also, it’s very different than the Sebenza so doesn’t hurt anything (other than your wallet) to have both :).

Stick with the sebenza I’d much rather have that and if you wanted some very high end steel just get a kershaw link in M390 (basically 20cv) and it has the snappy action you wanted also integrals aren’t that cool they are kinda annoying to me

Funny you guys being this up. Yesterday before I made the post I actually had a local Authorized BM dealer near by order an Anthem for me to try out. Grind isn’t an issue for me as I can easily reprofile any edge. The blade centering would be the deal breaker for sure as with an intergral this cannot be corrected, right?

I would keep what you got and buy another. Like the Anthem, buy it. I'm not into this musical knives deal.
