The biggest attraction for me on the Anthem is the coil spring axis lock.

Once you've had one axis lock they are all the same. The anthem is slightly different mechanism but functions the same way to the user.

Well... You were interested enough in it to start this thread. Chances are if you don't check one out, you'll always wonder about it. I say go for it... Unless there's some way for you to check one out in person for a bit first. Of that's possible it might help you decide one way or the other with no doubts.

The axis lock on the Anthem is superior to every other Benchmade I've handled. I think it's worth it.

If you have to make a poll then there's a good chance your intrigued enough where it's worth getting your hands on one just to see if you like it or not. If you can get into one for a reasonable price (used off the exchange) then if you don't like it you can just go ahead and sell it.
