Like the election...
We may not have a winner tonight.

I've also visited the site, and no winner has been declared there, either.

Hmmm...

Hey Hey! I guess it must be me! Craig is being reticent because he want to work out how to get it to me without incurring the wrath of the UK customs!

But then again, perhaps not.

Ah well, so much for my high hopes.

Well, ALL I WANTED WAS A FAIR, FULL, AND ACCURATE COUNT! Guess what? AL GORE won!!!!! Imagine that. I was just about to pick a winner when I was flooded with the Gore Legal Team. They insisted that the raffle entry form was flawed, as it discriminated against people who didn't own computers!

Just kidding, guys. Here's how I picked a winner. I visited this website:

http://w3.one.net/~bzimov/lotto.html

It's a "random number generator." (well, as random as it's gonna get). I entered the range (which was the number of entries, from 1 to 207). And the winner is number 98!!!!!

Congratulations, number 98!!!!! You're now the president of the United States!

Just kidding again (boy, this is fun). Seriously, the random number generated was indeed #98. Who is this mystery number owner?

Miska Sillanpaa

Now, I expect a wave of lawyers to descend upon my office - claiming that since my wife is Finnish (and so is the winner) there MUST be a conspiracy.

A couple of disclaimers right off the bat.

1) I didn't set up any roadblocks to thwart entrants from entering the raffle.

2) My wife didn't somehow "fix" things over here so her bretheren could win!

3) No, I won't do a re-pick.

4) No, I won't do it manually.

5) No, I don't love machines over people (even though I invented the computer).

Nuff said. I'll leave it to the rest of you to continue this humor (and please do).

We will be starting another raffle right after the first of the year, because we all know that Blackdog should win the next one. After all, it is the fair, full, and accurate thing to do!

Miska (Marya thinks the name is a typo - Mika is a more common Finnish name) doesn't know he won, as it's still night time in Finland. But yes, we'll have another raffle in January - an 18 inch Panawal, I think. In fact, we'll try to do several raffles a year.

Way to go, Mika!! Hope you'll enjoy it, and maybe even hit the jackpot again!

(Say, d'ya know where I could get a good, reasonably-priced puukko?)

Congrats....Miska!

You lucky, lucky person (don`t know your gender).

Walk on.

Miska isn't a forum member (I don't think he is). But he was VERY happy to win. It'll be his first khukuri. (he collects puukkos). I'm hoping to get a picture of him with it that I can post on the website. We will start building a collection of past winners for the raffle page.
