Whoa! Just got to play with a nice machete

Good Lawd! A co-worker brought in a CS Barong machete. Holy crap that thing is freaking cool! Nice and thick with a decent edge (i bet can be worked up scary sharp!) and a wicked point on it. Anyone like and use one of those machetes? Be nice for keeping the Zed heards at bay ;)

i have had the 12 inch and it is a nice jungle knife, like the shape and it has taken care of some brush on the property.

I have the 12" and sadly I've never used it, but I have used the 12" Bowie quite a bit and it's a good chopper. The Barong has more forward weight and should make an even better chopper.
 
I've handled them once, and it felt good in hand to me. I was going to buy it from him until he suddenly decided he was going to use it for himself. (This upsets me only because I drove an hour to get it..)
 
I have one of those! Love it!!! Great design that has been around for a while.
 
the one the co worker had was the big ass one. I think the 12" would be more versatile as both a (big ass) camp knife and a machete. When she brought it to my office it was like :eek: WOW...now that is a knife :D
