Went to a duck blind drawing yesterday and got drawn for the first time (in three years of trying)!!! This year, I was hooked up with a group of eleven other guys, so I had a much better chance. One SOB (said with all affection for the luck bastid) in our group even won one of the shotgun raffles, so we had luck on our side yesterday.

Anyway, while we were sitting around waiting for names to be drawn, talk turned to guns, and one of the guys asked about Knob Creek. A few of these guys may be going this year. By the time I get done helping them rebuild our duck blind, I should know them a little better. May have one or two guys with whom I can drive up to Kentucky.

Who else plans to be there in October?

I'm hoping to make it happen, but will have to start saving pennies now -- those busse tables are getting expensive...

I'll be there. Info and dates can be found here www.machinegunshoot.com

Last week I was looking around on Youtube and I found the "MailCall" that featured Knob Creek. It is a great episode and well worth watching if you are not familar with Knob Creek, shows the night shoot, the ranges and much more. Just search Knob Creek on Youtube and you should be able to locate it.

:D:D

hey any body goin is welcome to stop by my place, i live about 45 min directly south of knob creek, be great to shoot the bull with some fellow forumites, and i know i have a freezer full of steaks that need to be eaten :)

Hmmmmm. I wonder.

Nah. It's 16 hours each way for me. EEEK! A buddy of mine is working on Troy, OH right now. If I could easily fly into Columbus or something. . . then it'd be worth it. But then I'm adding $400+ for airfare. Ugh.

Well, Southwest could fly me there for 150-200. Hmmmm.

Nah. I'm a big dope. My wife is pregnant and is due in early Dec. The last thing I need is to bug out and her the size of a blimp with 2 kids already at home. That's a death sentence.

But it would be cool. RATATATATATATATATAT. . . . and KNIVES!!!!!! (Too much competition at Blade. Best to go to Knob to get any sort of selection. . . I think.)

Yeah, but you have to stalk Eric and hit him up as he comes out of his hotel. :D

Good for you on getting that blind,i really miss duck hunting since i moved to HI,But the plan is to move back to my home turf WA next summer,in time to get ready for duck and pheasant season:thumbup::thumbup:
As far as Knob creek,i would love to go,but to early to say if i will make it
or may be i could combine it with a hunting trip?

I hope to make it this fall. Maybe I'll float over to Progunner's shack and bum a ride:thumbup:

is working on Troy, OH right now.

If he's in Troy, check prices into Dayton. Troy is at least an hour from Columbus, and if you guys are in Troy, you can shoot straight down 75 to 71 in Cincinnati, then scoot to Louisville....

I'll be there fo sho, provided nothing at work comes up that weekend....

Gotta save some dinero, and try to beat Porkybear and Grabelface to the good stuff...;)

I'm thinking about it...about got a friend talked into going along for the long ride.

Ok...no I'm not going but a better question is...will there be a

KNOBCREEKGANZA???

Not sure if I can make it. I sponser a bear hunt the last two weeks of October every year and that falls in the week before when we are scouting and preparing for the hunt. And getting in some deer hunting before the bear hunt also.
