Last night, the wife and I went to see Motley Crue and Poison. We're 80's kids and thought a little nostalgic trip back to our rotten youth would be a blast. We listended to Rob Stanley's CD enroute and got to decompress from all the stress. Brought back a lot of memories and caused me to wonder how many other X generation HOGS reside here that still consider themselves music Metal Heads, regardless how responsibilities changed your priorities the last 30 years.

Happy Independence Day All!

Born in 1965, when I look at the "Must be born before......" stickers at the beer store I get a little "you've got to be kidding me!" twinge.

The wife and I saw Poison back in their prime, it would be interesting to see them now. :D

Hell I be 50 in Augest:eek:and still love the bands of the 70,80,90eds,I STILL GOT MY AIR GUTAIR,,,

I'm 46! That would have been a cool concert!
It was amazing, glam rock seems campy nowadays but back then it was a sight to see. Hair everywhere! And CC was actually coherent! :p

July 1963 baby,,,,, :thumbup::thumbup:

Not exactly a "metal head",, but some of my best memories were cruising Ocean Beach / Great Highway (Yeah man,, a San Francisco native here! ) blasting me some "Crazy Train":D

Yeah,,,, Fast Cars,,,Big Hair,,, Good Times :D

'67, it was awesome! I felt like a kid again!!

We made our son drive (cruel and immensely pleasurable) so we could relax and PARTY!!!

Tommy Lee had a rollercoaster loop setup and took an audience member with him for the ride. It's on youtube at another venue.

If your an old school head banger, I recommend it.

1966!! Going to see them in Biloxi, MS in a few days. I saw them several times in the 80's from their first tour to Dr. Feelgood. Crue should kick azz. We went a few week ago to Rush and they were great. They played for three hours.

1966 here as well. I saw Ozzy on his first solo tour in Biloxi, and some other great shows too. I am a huge Motley Crue fan and a lifetime KISS Army member.
My first big show concert was Scorpions and Iron Maiden. I've been to more concerts than I can remember or count. Saw Van Halen 4-5 times. Best show ever was a little later though, Tool in Seattle. Latest was Hank Williams III. I've never been to a more diverse concert in my life. From true country like his grandad (very rockabilly laced with drugs and drinkin') to the hardest hardcore thrash ever heard.

Thanks for this! I have to go see the Crue now!

Yeah, Mick was there. In fact, all original members were present in both acts.

As old has Mick is, he still kicked @#*!

What was kind of funny was the evolution of enthusiasm in the crowd. After the first couple tunes, everyone went nuts!

My first concert was Monsters of Rock '86:

Dokken
Metallica
Scopions
Van Halen

You're welcome bro, do it!

Best shows I ever saw were OZZY and RUSH. RUSH was way ahead of their time.

1967 here.
I think it is funny and a little sad that my kids are listening more and more to the music I grew up with.
Really wish some good music would come back.

My first concert was KISS in 1978 (I was 13). Oddly enough I saw The Psychedelic Furs last night. Not metal but definitely nostalgic. Still love Sabbath and Judas Priest.
