I am new to Instagram. This thread is helpful. It looks to be a tool to focus information to people searching for specific makers.

BTW.... I'm learning through my MANY searches on Instagram that it's not always easy to find makers I want to follow or point to.

There are SO many members that using your name in some form has replicates in similarity. Teens, other countries, doppelgangers, are abundant.

If you are creating an IG for your knife following, I'd HIGHLY suggest doing what Bob Appleby did above this post ^^^^ and many others:

@********_Knives

Use some wording in your name which indicates your 'category'. That and ALSO use your name in the description. That will also return in a search.

Have other interests? I have a second 'personal' IG on which I use for cars, dogs, family, junk.... Not as active and few care about me. ;) LOL! Real world.

However, my @SharpByCoop has grown to a monumental 55K followers! :D :eek:

You can switch between your (2) accounts in seconds. :thumbup:

Finally got smart phone and got here. Not sure what I'm doing liked phones better when they hung on the wall and had a cord.
