Who's the loveless of Japanese custom knives

That is absolutely bonkers.

Well Steven, here is some of the work done by Yoshindo for my 2nd book,
"Custom Fixed-Blade Knives"

First the stages in making a knife for the book:

And Yoshindo while creating the knife:

Beautiful picture DDD, but in the sequence, the first blade (sunobe) and the second from the left should be flipped on the other side (their straight side is the one that in the third stage will be the cutting edge).

Hi, betzner, My name is Ivor, I accidentally saw this post and I found that the Yoshindo Yoshihara kogatana you had owned before becomes my favorite collection. You can see it in my Instagram, st04lzhq. What a coincidence!!!!

Truly, the dumbest thing I ever did was to sell a Yoshindo Yoshihara kogatana, which Bob Lum had acquired directly from the maker at the Solvang show. I acquired it from one of the Lums, with pics of Bob Lum and YY holding it, along with a letter from Jean Lum documenting it.

I seem to recall STeven being kind enough, from images of it, in attempting to obtain a translation of the script written on the kogatana's sheath. I have looked everywhere for an image and can't find one anywhere. I'll keep looking.

I'd definitely agree with STeven. Yoshindo Yoshihara, one would think, would have to be considered the Loveless of Japan.
