which makers are currently working with talonite?
im aware of simonich and rinaldi, but i havent heard much about other makers using it.
also, if anyone has any clues on the approximate wait time?

Im thinking of getting a talonite blade sometime, so im just trying to get an idea of who use it and such.
thanx in advance

There are several others that come to mind. Kit Carson, Darrel Ralph, Ken Onion, Tom Mayo, Deryk Monroe, Alan Folts, and Pat Crawford. (I talked to Pat today and he has some Talonite Carnivours about ready to go.) And some others I cant think of right now. As I think of them I will edit this post....

thanx for the info, its appreciated, ill poke around a bit and see what i can find on them.
I just have to see if i can scrape together enough money(without spending it on less expensive blades) to afford one.

thanx for the help

I'm working with Talonite, CPM3V, CPM420V, CPM440V and BG42. Also, CPMM4. Take your pick!

A couple more are George Gibo, and Mike Lamprey from across the pond. Hey RJ, sorry I forgot about you there.......there are some others too and I will post as I think of them......

The MEUK that I won, and Allen Blade made, is excellent. I cut myself the first night I had it. Later I took it to a friend's house and he cut himself within about 30 seconds of unsheathing it. The quality is very high, and the price is right if I recall correctly.

I believe Kit Carson does quite a bit of Talonite/Stellite also. Though that's probably already been said too.

Me:"Uuh....yeah, something like that."

I had received a talonite bar last week and just made a chisel ground blade - a tanto - out of it. Haven´t assembled the handle yet because I´m waiting for a menuki from Fred Lohmann, but it should be ready this week or the next.
I am quite satisfied with the material - it is perfect for the fighter-only knives I make - and I intend to work with it exclusively as I intend to go full-time in 2000.
Best regards.
