Off the top of my head, there are too many to name. There are so many talented knifemakers that it is also a crime to narrow it down to ONE, or even 10.

Like so many of the excellent ones, none will want to be described as THE ONE! Their humility is testimony to their greatness but we know who they are.

So I guess the American Knife Idol contest won't take place afterall.

However, there are a whole bunch of names out there. Their strengths and skills are so unique that we should all be grateful that every knife is special. Like DNA, all of them are one-of-a-kind!

Moving to Blade Discussion Forum.

Bill Bagwell...The Hell's Belle is my dream knife...:).

I also recently received an Entrek Buffalo knife in a trade that I'm very impressed with, so I'll also add Ray Ennis as 1st runner up.

Jerry Hossom's work really impresses me. I think our very own Daniel Koster will make a big(ger) name for himself one day as well. :)

I'd have to vote for either Bob Dozier or Sal Glesser. Choosing between the two would be tough though.

I cannot decide between Shane Sibert or the Jones Bros. They both have the cleanest designs, and the best fitting knives I've owned.

Bob Loveless, Chris Reeve, and Walter Brend. Bo Randall was no slouch either!

Professor.

But one person who I admire greatly in the world of knives is Sal Glesser, the father of the modern pocket knife.
