Who's your American Knife Idol?

My top 3, in no particular order-

Chris Reeve
Mick Strider
Robert Terzuola

There are many, many other great knifemakers out there, these three are just my personal favorites.

John...

Bill Moran. Along with being the main force in bringing pattern welded damascus back from oblivion, he is also one of the founders of the ABS and Knifemakers' Guild.

I have a few. Darrel Ralph, Larry Nowicki, Mick Strider, and Sal Glesser. I know Les De Asis isn't making knives, but he is one of the guys responsible for all the great stuff that Benchmade does. I think he deserves a little praise.

Off the top of my head, there are too many to name. There are so many talented knifemakers that it is also a crime to narrow it down to ONE, or even 10....
So I guess the American Knife Idol contest won't take place afterall.

The most self-defeating thread starter possible, yet so fruitful and inviting :-)

Personally, there's one name I think shouldn't go without mention:

I idolize Ken Onion.

You only put me on there to get another knife!!!! :

Ron Lake

Steve Hoel

Jack Busfield

Bob Loveless

Bill Moran

Bo Randall

oh yea............and Ken Onion cause if I dont include him he will kick my a$$!!! :p

Robert Terzuola - because he's a good friend and one of my favorite human beings. (and I think he makes knives, too.)
