To keep the friendly banter out of the Flea Market, we can discuss sports related off topic stuff here.

So who's your team (whichever sport)?

Here's my view tonight as I cheer on my Avs while watching the flea market and fiddling with the Woodsman:

Pretty amazing the turnaround the Avs have seen this year. A local commercial has Roy talking about how he's going to bring the same intensity to coaching as he did to goaltending. I'd say that's been true.

Sorry for clouding up the market. Im a bit drunk and just watched the game. Saw the fellow redwings fan and couldn't help myself. Go wings!

I lived in Detroit (went to school there) for 6 or 7 years. I now live in Wisconsin, but still root for tue wings and the tigers. The lions are full of jerkoffs, so dont really care. And basketball aint my thing.

Good idea to make a thread. Hope you dont block me :p

Chargers, Padres, Aztecs, Trojans, Lakers. I think it's pretty clear where I grew up.

I know who your NFL team is T. They've have had a good free agency. Still favorites to win the AFC.

My more complete list of sports and teams, ranked by favorite at the top:

College Basketball: North Carolina Tarheels
Pro Hockey: Colorado Avalanche
NASCAR: Kevin Harvick - please no crap about it not being a sport ;)
College Hockey: Denver Pioneers
Lacrosse: Colorado Mammoth
Pro Football: Denver Broncos
College Football: CU Buffs (they used to be good)
Pro Baseball: Colorado Rockies
...
any number of random sports/teams
...
Pro Basketball - couldn't care less.

Lacrosse.... my favorite sport to play. Never watched much but Syracuse is the team.

Psg for soccer, and eintracht. I like the seatle sounders in mls. But havent followed any of these recently due to time and lack of channels playing them.

The avs and wings rivalry was a favorite growing up.

Good thread -- all of my choices are based upon places I've lives where I've adopted various teams as "home teams"

American Football: Giants & Ravens
Futbol: FC Barcelona although, I will also always have a soft spot for Manchester
Baseball: Yankees & O's
Hockey: Devils & Bruins
Basketball: Spurs
College (all): UVA, Rutgers, Cal, USC, ND (for my wife)
Nascar: try WRC or F1 ;)
UFC: don't get me started

Tribial -- I'm a pretty big LAX fan myself (grew up playing), so for me: syracuse for sure, loyola, and hopkins

Hopkins and syracuse were the two when I played. Fun to watch. Duke too. U of M for me for all college sports except lax. went to school in Ann Arbor when I was little.

I honestly just like Zlatan in soccer. Hence PSG.

This has been a good series despite our shortcomings. I wouldn't want to fight Chara! I think the Sharks will get it this year.

A life-long Broncos fan here who has never been to Mile High Stadium. Do they serve IPA there?

Phil

Been a Chicago bulls fans since I was 10 :D

Not too interested in other team sports, but I do watch college basketball at times.

My family is an LSU Tiger and SEC family. We love football mostly. My dad used to take me to the games when I was a kid. We moved to Florida when I was in high school, so I couldn't afford to go there. I wound up at FSU, and I pull for them as well.

I was born in DC and have been around here for over 40 years. I've stood by our teams through a lot of bad seasons and now things are starting to look up.

Proud Homer here...
Redskins
Nationals
Wizards
Caps
George Mason Basketball

Hockey.... NY Rangers. It would be great to see a Ranger vs Red Wing series!
Football..... The Jets
College Football...... UCF. My son graduated from Central Florida. Their program is really improving.

I'm kinda all over the place since I was born in Korea, but grew up between Washington and Pennsylvania since I was 11.

Football: 49ers (Montana is my favorite football player of all time, Barry Sanders maybe close second), then the Eagles, and recently, don't care anymore
Basketball: Supersonics, though we're no more :( Though the team was tragically flawed, I have a very fond memory of watching the Reignman and the Glove. I did love watching the Sixers in college, say what you will about AI, but he did play his butt off come game time.
Baseball: Mariners (Griffey jr. favorite baseball player of all time), now the Phillies, probably the only sporting event I attend at least handful of times during the season.
College Football: PSU because a good friend of mine went there and we always attend couple games a season. My own alma mater was Division I AA, so nothing to get excited over (though against one nearby school, it does have the distinction of "the most-played football rivalry in the nation and the longest uninterrupted annual rivalry series").
Soccer: Big fan of the big European leagues (and hence the Champions League), but no particular favorite team. Used to follow ManU alot as my compatriot Ji Sung Park played there for ~7 years. Big fan of the South Korean national team.
