whose YOUR all-time favorite knife maker?

I probably read the same article, A big McWilliams Panama fighter was my second custom knife ever. First was a Flournoy figher.
The older I get, the less I am into favorites. But one of the makers who always stuck in my mind that hasn't been mentioned is Sean McWilliams. I read a magazine article about him many years ago, and a few of his quotes about knife design still echo in my head today.

George Herron. I could look at his knives all day long.

Other personal favorites:

SR Johnson
Bruce Bump
Pohan Leu
Ray Laconico
Mike Snody
Burt Foster

Special Mention - Terry Primos. That guy lit a fire under my ass to even start doing any of this. Loved his tutorials back in the day.

I'm lucky to say I have too many I hold dear to me!! The old guys that pulled me up and the young guys that keep us relaying the information we have gathered to them :)

But 1 man helped me be who I am fundamentially as a maker.

Charles Sauer

I don’t think any serious full time professional knifemaker ever went into the business, looking for hero worship…

… if any did, too bad for them...

Don Hanson, Don Fogg, Walter Sorrells, Rick Barrett (his traditional stuff anyway) Jesus Hernandez, Nick Wheeler just to name a few.
I appreciate anyone who creates a clean knife or sword. And there are SO many of those here.
You are my inspiration for making knives. cheers everybody.

Many of the guys that hang out here are amazing makers. The knowledge they freely share is a testiment to their character and i appreciate them all.My personal favorite would have to be my friend and mentor Mike Fisher.(Tank).He was the one that got me started in this hobby/business and answered all my idiotic questions and didnt smile too big at my first ragged attempts. He makes a heck of a nice knife too, specializing in reproductions of vintage automatics.(not easy stuff)and his own designs.
