Why a cleaver blade?

I must say I do like the looks of this knife and it performs well in all uses.IMG_20200427_171615.jpg IMG_20200427_153905.jpg

"Why a cleaver blade?"

It's not an unuseful blade shape. Why a cleaver blade on a flipper knife that has the flipper tab sticking out so you can't actually use it like a cleaver? No idea.

I have several little fixed pocket cleavers, two nighthaxan's. Cool looking is the only factor for me.

Ok, I think my question was answered, it’s trendy but not useful Basically

I think I would phrase that more like this. It’s trendy but has limited usefulness.

Based on the pictures posted in this thread, they appear to have a sharp edge, so should still cut.

O.B.

Some people like to use them in the kitchen, but I have no use for cleaver blades away from the kitchen counter.
