Why all the Busse Hate?

I’ve been YouTube-surfing for the past few hours watching Hogs review their blades, but I scroll down to the comments and see so much Busse-loathing! I even saw a comment that said: “Likening this knife to a Ka-Bar is a disgrace.” What’s up with all this?

As a fan of Ka-Bar/Becker I certainly wouldn't compare any of their blades to Busse in anything but general usage concepts; they are in different leagues in most other categories. I'm sure there's some sticker shock that can turn into jealous hatred for Busse when people find out some of the prices, when a knife is un-affordable one tends to come up with excuses as to why they didn't want it in the first place.

Ultimately, it's Youtube: there is no rational thought or logic on that site, especially in the comment sections.
 
There are many people who, having decided on what good knife to buy, immediately form the opinion that it does what they want it to, nothing can do it better, they are insulted at the notion that anyone else's knife could be better, and to buy any other knife is the height of foolishness.

Of all these many people, only us Busse users are right!
 
That’s just how people are. Doesn’t matter if it is high end knives, custom guns (I recently bought a Wilson Combat and got the “I could buy 4 glocks for what that cost”), to cars. Doesn’t really matter what it is. Yea a Honda Civic will get me from point a to b, but my Scat Pack Challenger does it faster and in style
 
Yea, most people bash us and Busse cuz they just don't know.
I'm fine with it....more bacon for us.
After all, if everyone liked Busse, there wouldn't be enough to go around. Jerry and crew wouldn't be able to keep up with all the orders if everyone liked INFI.
I use to talk smack about BMWs and the people driving them, now I drive a BMW and I see why.....lol.

It's the usual... When you start getting into knives, or knives aren't your thing, there is no way in hell you're going to understand WHY I'd pay $1000 for a Busse NMFBM LE.
Then you handle one...

Sorry but I had one and almost wore the warranty out before I lost my ass getting rid of it.
This doesn't mean I think all of them are bad, but I'm done with them. But I don't hate them.

Speaking of warranty, K bar considers batoning, throwing, opening cans, using as a chisel or prybar, digging and even heavy work as improper use and a void of the warranty. Ha!

Like I said, probably not a good analogy. I would never personally buy a Benz unless it was a G-Wagon in which case a Mistress would look nice in the front seat.

But Mercedes is like any manufacture for cars and knives included. Some lemons get out from time to time and some last and run forever and come without grinder gremlins.
