Does anyone have any idea why these are so hard to find in stock anywhere now?
I've been looking for replacement 0560 and 0566 scales without much luck.
I swear I used to see them in stock everywhere a few years ago.

Try a couple of the guys on here who make scales

Well, the 0560 has been discontinued for almost all iterations for a while now. That should explain why you don't see many new scales offered for it.

Johann, you have no idea how we love spending your money!!!
Check out Steve Ketchen's work on the Exchange. He did a Benchmade 581 and a Brous VR-71 for me and his work is nothing short of amazing!!
Great guy to deal with also!

Modles are getting old/discontinued , hype is dying down esp when you can get a real XM-18 used on the exchange for a reasonable price. I've seen many sell for under the $350 mark, you add the cost of a 0560 with custom scale and your almost at a real Hinderer. Plus with all the new offerings out there many of the guys that make custom scales moving onto what is latest and greatest.

Anyhow, plenty of guys on here that do great work and can accommodate your desires for a custom scale in various colors and materials.

Check out the custom scale makers in the Knifemakers forum. Also USA made blades may have some.

I have a bunch kicking around here and so does blade hq.
They have alot of the older stuff for 0561 and 0550.

They were discontinued far before I knew about it and that is why there are few out there.

Thanks for all the info guys.
Was hoping to just find something I could order without waiting but I guess I'll have to look at customs.

If you dont see any makers on here that you like check Instagram, Just #zt560 and look until you see some you like and ask people where they got them, they will gladly tell you most of the time.

Well I managed to luck out on a used Cuscadi scale for my 0560.
At first I was wanting something with the original texture but its really grown on me.
It's going to be pretty tempting to order a matching scale for my 0566 now.

Go to www.g10.lt Unbelievable work. Guy goes by 'Suingab' He is in Lithuania. Made two Micarta scales for my ZT 0566. Took about two weeks and shipped right to my door. Fit and finish is second to none. His site has all kinds of photos on it.
