Why are Busse Knives made with SR 101 not sought after?

I have done the same thing, once or twice. Did that with the Flak Jack. Use them interchangeably.
I also have multiple copies of both SR-101 and INFI Ratmandus. Or variants. All perform about equally in that size.

May be leaner... but can it survive being thrown out from under the deck of a John Deere riding lawnmower?

The finest and most under appreciated knife that Busse ever made was SR101.
 
Just got back. My shooting lane for slingshots got overgrown so I cleared it back out. It’s 6’ wide by about 50’ long. Man, the Swampers love hard work.





Hacked and whacked and chopped til my arm gave out - not a ding, not a chip, not a roll, not even a dull spot on the edge. Just some bark scuffs, wood chips, and thorny vine schmutz that washed right off.



Love this blade.🤩
 
The Rat Daddy was the forgotten big blade. As big as an FBM with better handle ergonomics. Differential temper made it tough as nails. So this may be the most underrated sr101 of all time

I deeply regret selling my 711…Well, I sold it to purchase something from the Swamp,
but I’m still looking to get a 711 back to my hands.

All my Bussekin are SR101. I personally fahking love and look for it.
 
Still have some big boys in SR101. Plus an HR LM and at least a couple of Ratmandus

Satin Battle Rat, zero edge.

Boom Parang, with a ghetto regrind
Kill Devil Sniper Hawk, with a ghetto regrind (trunk blade)
Rodent Waki, with a ghetto regrind
BB13, with a ghetto regrind

something I'm probably forgetting

I really need to get the great big bag o blades down from the attic and trim the collection. Some regrets.
