Why are kydex makers so slow?

It isn't as easy as some might think to build a viable knife carry option. It's pretty easy to build something that will hold a knife securely, and keep the dangerous parts safely covered, but a carry system ain't necessarily so simple.There's a lot that must be considered, and a good bit of finicky, high precision work to be done. Work that is generally done entirely by hand.
