Why are Native 5's so hard to find for sale?

I really like the fit and finish and the ergonomics but I do think the knife is a bit heavy for the blade size. I believe the lightweight model is a good idea. I look forward to seeing it.
I love my Calys, but I love my N5 even more because they are a little heavier and handle a little thicker. It gives me very nice feeling during the use. I certainly will buy at least one N5 LW, but most likely will wait for sprint.

The Native is my ideal size edc. Not too small even for my big hands and not unnecessary big.

I can see why the 5 is in such high demand. Wouldn't mind to get more Native 5's for myself.
CF S110V and fluted CF are in plans. Also I hope to see some sprints with exotic steels.

FYI - both Native 5's, in G10 & fluted Ti are OOS at GPKnives.

After starting with Buck and migrating thru Kershaw, Boker, and Benchmade, I tried an FRN/S30V N4 from WallyWorld. I tried to wear it out. A year ago, I discovered that Sal had read my mind - there was a proper Native with G10 and assembled with screws, not that rivets had worked loose at all on my now beatup N4 - it's still tight as a drum. My second Spyderco knife was a N5 in G10 & S35VN. I started spending time looking at Spyderco knives...

My next two examples were a pair of CF Dodo's - bought on a half-off sale (Two of the butt-ugliest - but adorable - pocket knives I've ever seen, much less owned.). Oddly, that ugo is back at near MSRP - in that same store - go figure. Latest pair purchased are a South Fork and an ironwood Puukko. My favorite? The CF Dodo is so homely that it really is adorable. The Native 5 is the best knife, however. It's a great combo of materials, knife shape/size, grip size, etc - just right as an EDC. The South Fork is a neat fb, however.
