why are the lefties getting the shaft again?

If the final version of the ParaMilitary would not include a lefty clip set-up, I certainly would be disappointed, being a lefty myself. This is a work knife, and it would work best for my main ´working´ hand, the left! I would even send mine out to Golden to have it modified properly....if that would be a possibility. I love the Dodo, being a lefty friendly high end knife. And remember, there are also righthanded people who would like to carry two knives, and they like lefty knives for too.

I just don't get Spyderco anymore. Sigh. I'm a righty...and I carry a knife in my left pocket...for weapon retention purposes. I've given up on Spyderco and gone to Benchmade for that purpose. Tried an Endura...but when two in a row had clip rotation problems after only a few months...I gave up on the FRN's from Spyderco. Seems like they've ceded the lefty market to Benchmade. Just don't get it????

I'd like to buy more Spydies...but there are always problems with the clips. Too tight, wire (yuck), etc. But the worst is the fact that too much of the knife sticks out of the pocket. How subtle is that? In the era of big little knive...when discretion is the watchword...the Salsa has a lot of handle sticking out of the pocket (and it's not alone). Where are the knives like the Calypso, the Standard, the Viele? Most of the discrete Spydies are the older ones. Sigh, sigh, sigh.

I'd love to see Spyderco take a page from Benchmade's book (ambi for most) and Al Mar's (low carry...at least for some). How about dark clips that are not so bright that they attract everyone's attention too. Try to make it where they don't chip...but simply fade (Benchmade again).

The irony here is that I love Spydies above all else...just not the recent ones. I know others' opinions will differ here...but I hate disappointment after disappointment.

Bring back some low riders...and make 'em ambi. Please?

I like some of the knife exposed when it's clipped. It helps you get a grip and it helps avoid concealed-carry misunderstandings. A clipped knife that is visible is not a concealed weapon...it's a tool ready for use.

Sometimes, with single liner knives, making the clip left handed is not possible, even though the knife design would lend itself to ambidex carry. Whenever possible, I think spyderco should design for both right and left carry. I think the choice of tip up or down isn't as important. I do agree that the original Endura reversible clip is a poor design and rotates. I believe the newer knives have thicker ridges to eliminate the problem.

Oregon law allows the carry of just about anything short of a nuclear device, as long as the bearer does not conceal it.
I wear my Native in my waistband with the clip very visible, and I consider that carry discrete and yet not concealed.

I prefer tip-up carry, not because of the orientation of the tip but because it puts the clip at the butt end of the handle, and, if on the left side of the butt, in the cup of my palm where I don't feel it.

Has everyone seen the new Chinook II in another thread?
It surprises me that this knife has not captured everyone's attention.
This knife has four sets of threaded holes for the clip, an MBC front lock, S30-V steel and a new blade contour.
How can it get any better?
I have moved this knife to the top of my list of intended purchases.
Well done, Spyderco!

...and if the Chinook can have four sets of holes, I'm sure the paramilitary could easily have just 2....hint hint...
