Why are we "usual suspects?"

I often ask myself this question. What is it about Ernie's knives that have created the mystique that keeps us all collecting and checking in here on a regular basis?

All kidding aside, personally it's not because that Spec Ops guys carry them, or the marketing; it's just the design of the knives that I like. There are alot of designs similiar but none quite exactly the same.

I love the functional design of the knives - both custom and production. The fact that the designs have a purpose and work!

The military/SpecOps connection may be over done, but I have just posted my NASA application as this appears to be the only way to get a full set of the production knives.
