Why aren’t “mini flipper” knives more popular?

The Fantoni HB series have an undersized flipper tab that works kind of like what you’re saying.

Detent Strength + Flipper Geometry. The size is seconadary, a well designed knife flips with a small flipper, a bad designed one with a weak detent won't be helped by an inch long flipper.

I never wrist flick. On the few occasions that I handed my knife to someone who then wrist flicked it open, I cringed.
