Why aren't there more linerless folders?

Most knife collectors want more options then just FRN linerless folders. Also knife producers can only charge so much for a FRN linerless. I would imagine most of the profitable folders are the higher end models. Kinda like the car makers, they would rather sell an SUV than a sub compact. I agree there is nothing wrong with FRN & linerless. I remember when Blackie Collins & Gerber came out with the LST & the Bolt-lock. They were and still are fine.
