I love this forum because it is a online testimonial to how knifemakers usually run their business. This is what I mean... I recently finished a call to RMLamey because I had some questions that I thought he could answer. Not only did he answer my questions, but we talked knifemaking for about an hour, maybe more, I lost track of time. My wife gets upset because my phone conversations with her usually consist of 15 words or less, but I can talk to another knifemaker for hours on end. Mr. Lamey was incredibly helpful, and has a large passion for his craft (which he seems to have mastered quite well). Just wanted to take a little time her to say thanks to the forum in general, and Mr. Lamey specifically.

It would be hard to find someone as nice and helpful as Matt, Hes a good ole boy! and makes what I consider to be some of the best bowies/cutters I have ever seen!

Funny my wife says the same thing about me and the forum. She wonders how I can hardly find things to talk about with her, but I can spend hours on a computer "chatting" with people I've never met. It's simple really, her and I have been together for years, we know everything about each other. With the people here there is always so many new things you can learn from people.

Knifemakers are one of the few 'groups' that consist entirely of isolationists. The only other people I seem to relate to are knifemakers.

Matt's about as laid-back as they come. I met him at Blade last year. I've always wanted one of his big choppers, just never seem to get around to getting one...
