I've wanted the 560/561 since the first pictures were leaked. My knife fund has more then enough for it. So why can't I post "I'LL TAKE IT!!!". I have held and opened one and loved it....Am I being insane? Help me diagnose my condition.

Unless its not the right size for you jump on it! I got one at the blem sale for a deal that i could not physically and or mentally pass up. Its a tad bigger than I like and im still not 100% sure im going to keep it yet but it sure is purrrrdy, lightwieght and smooooth.

This is PSYC 101, its the size putting you off. Many members desire a smaller folder, and I'm sure you're suffering from large folder phobia. I'm there too haha! I prefer smaller knives.

I had a 0560 and sold it, because I could not bring myself to use it. A few months later, I bought a 0561 blem from kershawguy. So I can relate to the mental illness. This one I have actually used, and I think I will keep it. Its sorta pocket jewelry, which I'm not really into, but it feels a lot lighter than its 6+ ounces and is a fine piece of knife irrespective of the bling.

Depending on where you get it (pre-loved) or blem, you most likely could re-sell it on the forum and get your money back!

It's very obvious that you can't.. because you know the consequences of buying 1.. you'll end up buying 2.

Because it's a knife not a gun!:p

All kidding aside, the 560 is an awesome knife. I was on the fence about keeping mine at first, but after carrying it a few times I realized that 5.8 ounces in your pocket isn't much. In fact, most of my favorite knives are larger like the 560.

I've been on the fence about getting one as well. I have some other things that take priority at this point but I will end up buying one eventually.

I just bought one yesterday from Kershawguy. It's a blem version, but for $175 it's a great way to get a user, which is what I want it for anyway.

I find myself hesitating on certain knife purchases. My reasoning stems deep into my childhood. My dad was an impulse buyer, I am a thinker, I do a lot of considering before buying. Once I make up my mind I go and get what I want, sometimes it takes a few hours to decide, sometimes days or a few weeks.
Make up your mind, dont buy it because everyone else has one, I dont have one, yet. Buy it if you want it, do you want it? How is your relationship with your patents? Do you feel secure enough to buy a ZT. Or is it a fear of awesomeness that is holding you back?

I have a tendency for smaller knives but after carrying the 0560 for a while you come to appreciate its size and hefty goodness! Bigger is better? >_>

I am/was this way for a long time. Until I missed out on so many cool pieces. For the most part I still "plan" for purchases but knife purchases
sometimes can't be foreseen and I hate missing out on the goodies.
I have a few pieces that I probably shouldn't have purchased (if Thomas was here he would know exactly which two) but the ones
I was able to get out-way the few I shouldn't have gotten.

I've missed out on a few good ones. I am better now. Knowing more than I did before has helped me a lot too.

Dave's price on the 0561 blems is giving me a seriously hard time trying to wait for the Carbon Fiber limited edition one next year.

I had a lot of trouble pulling the trigger on this knife as well. And why not? It is indeed a lot of money if you haven't gone into that price range before. All of that being said I finally did buy one from Dave a while back and have zero regrets. It's usually in my pocket.

I had the opportunity to carry a 0561 for about a week in Morrow's ZT passaround earlier this year. It is an excellent knife, and if it weren't for the promise of the 0560 carbon fiber special edition next year, I'd be jumping all over Dave's 0561 blem at the price he is offering!!!
