A side note in all this; your Montreal pattern Walters head is stamped 'Canada' on the reverse side (view post #10). Walters maintained a facility in Ogdensburg during the 1950s. They didn't manufacture heads in house but did assemble, finish and distribute axes from there. Walters axes that were distributed and sold in Canada were not stamped 'Canada' so I would presume what you have came through the relatively short lived Ogdensburg operation.
