Why Did Zero Tolerance Die??

I recently bought a ZT 0566 in the last couple weeks, then proceeded to sink another large sum of cash into buying a CF scale, blue anodized Ti standoffs, and blue anodized Ti scale screws. All the while noticing that Zero Tolerance basically doesn't exist on BladeForums anymore...What's Up? I've also got a 0562CF on order, and don't believe the love for the brand/company has died off...so what gives?
 
Way too many people thinking that they know how to run KAI/ZT/Shun better than the powers that be..........
 
Thanks Moniker...but I guess I still don't understand why more discussion isn't present.

I really don't understand the reasoning on the part of KAI, unless they couldn't handle the criticism of those who really cared...or, those whom they view/viewed as ultra critical...but it comes with the territory when you claim to produce an ultra controlled product.
 
ZT is still alive and well. There are are allot of new knives coming very soon. allot of members are anxiously awaiting them, including me.
This tends to cause a temporary break, in regards to the existing models.
 
To me, it is a premium product that screams to be made better. Most wouldn't understand. I've got people that I work with that say if you wanted that (so in so) why didn't you just buy a knife with that? My response is, "this knife is perfect to me with these mods..." doesn't work for most I suppose.
 
Just because they don't have a sub forum anymore doesn't mean they aren't discussed. Folks still love them. There's an anticipation thread for just about every new ZT that's coming out. They also get mentioned all the time in recommendation threads.

As for their forum here, no need to beat a dead horse as its been discussed at length. Take some time to read through the archives if it interests you further.
 
ZT is *on fire* right now! 0560/0561, 0801, p770cf, 0566, 03xx, etcetera are still going strong. 0562 is one of the or THE most anticipated releases of the year!
 
I love ZT!! I've got a 0562CF on pre-order! At the moment I carry a 0566. Tonight I ordered carbon fiber scales, anodized blue titanium screws, and anodized blue titanium standoffs! It's silly, but it makes me happy!!
 
No, I wasn't worried about ZT dying, but where are we/(those excited about our new ZT's) supposed to post our new threads?
 
ZT and Kershaw knives aren't going away. They make some good products. I've owned several ZT and Kershaw knives. My favorite being the 561 that I still own and use. Seems to me the powers that be for the company presence here at BF just decided it would be better for them to no longer participate, and have their subforum shut down. It seemed to me that he didn't like certain discussions and further participation was not in their best interest. Their choice. Folks can still discuss their knives here.
 
Yeah they are quality knives, and won't be replaced anytime soon...

Stilll, having that slicked up 0566 (CF, Ti Stand Offs & Screws) seems pretty irresistable..the 4" blade just doesn't really appeal to me.

I can't wait to get a 0562CF into my hand.

The for um was closed and for most part I feel people are just waiting for the new models to be released. They have been talked to death and now its a waiting game lol how I feel atleast
 
ZT is by far my favorite manufacturer. I carry an 0551 daily and can't wait to get my 0770 in the mail tomorrow.

As for their subforum, well they had their reasons. They still make an awesome product, regardless of their internet presence.

Post some pics of your 0566 when you can. I always love seeing ZTs!

Most recent releases were last month or so: 0566BW, 0566CF and 0350SWCF.

Just before Blade Show: 0770CF, 0888MAX, 0888M390, 0801CF, 0801BRWCF.

Within the next 1-3 months: 0562, 0562CF, 0620, 0620CF, 0102, 0180, 0454.

Love the blade on the 0454. Reminds me of a wartime battleship camo paint scheme.

ZT is a masterful manufacturer of very high quality knives. Their forum presence however, was tentative at best. For reference, go to the ZT archives, and research any thread that has been locked. More often than not, things became ugly in short order.
