Why Did Zero Tolerance Die??

All of the ZT models that I've had in the past were well-made and excellent. Never had a problem with any of them. I did notice, that for me (in my doddering old age), that my folders were heavier-duty than my casual carry required. However, I see that they have several in their new lineup which may appeal to me.
Yes, ZT's are great, sub-forum or not.

Love the blade on the 0454. Reminds me of a wartime battleship camo paint scheme.

It does to me too. I mentioned it last year after Blade Show in one of the ZT 0454 threads.

My ZT0350BW is my *only* Zero Tolerance knife...for now, anyway. I was surprised when I joined BladeForums, and the KAI sub forum was closed. Oh, well...that won't keep me from watching what they have coming out in the future.

Now...If Custom Scales for the 0350 weren't so scarce ;-)

A more interesting question might be if/how is ZT going to be changing their distribution for dealers?

Howe's knife shop recently sent out an email blowing out all their ZT knives with the statement "We understand a change in ZT Distribution is in the works or is coming so we have decided to CLOSE OUT our remaining ZT Knives! We will no longer, after these are gone, handle the Zero Tolerance line of knives."

Scarce? Nah, buddy, there's plenty of modders/pimpers around the forum that can whip you up a batch at a reasonable rate!

I wonder what change in the distribution process caused Howie's to stop selling one of the most popular knife lines available? Maybe a huge minimum order?

I got scared when I read the title of this topic.

Could not fathom that ZT went under.

Thankfully it was just false alarm.

Of course, now that the word is out the rumor will spread. :foot:

Someone is butthurt about the LE knives?

I have my eye on some, right now. I maybe shouldn't have used the word "scarce"...just not as many styles to choose from compared to say, PM2's.

ZT is doing great, tho without a ZT forum it is harder to follow new developments and discussions.
