Why didn't I think of that before

As you know I have been building a new grinder, what I didn't say was that I was having trouble with the tracking. In theory the tracking mechanism was built properly and should have worked like a charm but didn't.

The tracking is a foolproof tilting tracking wheel setup but I couldn't get it to work.

After a moment of inspiration I went back to the tracking adjustment arm and realized that the arm was tilted upwards too much with the contact wheel adjustment that I was using so I changed the wheel distance from the tracking wheel so that under full tension the tracking arm was now horizontal to the base of the maching instead of angling upwards as it showed in my photos and wonder of wonders it worked perfectly.

Now I can proceed with more grinders.
