I know you too COL.LEO`s know each other as well.Professional cognition? Of course, per The Sensitive Compartmentilized Information Act, we can neither confirm nor deny any speculation.I was not the officer doing PLF`s off of the bar either.Neither did I jump from the end of the pier. I wasn`t really there. How is (RET.) treating you? I was at Gowen Field once or twice. You probably would have charged me a .09 cent beer at the O Club for it. However, I`m ghosting right now. I reckon I can`t drop the ops.ord style.I try the patrol leaders order style sometimes. The spacing seems capricious.I don`t know what happens to some of these posts. It ignores my paragraphing. Also, I had a clerk for most of my life. So, I`m not good at this.
I needed the gauge for the M2 .50 Cal,BMG.1919, until I could do it by instinct. They forgot to train me in that one.720 grs.@2850 fps. will get attention.Lt.INF. doesn`t use heavy MG`s and 60MM morters. They are not even in the inventory. The 60`s that we traded the ARVN`s back for came in handy. The M79 took up some slack when we got them.Heck, they`d sell you a Spad or a UH1B. I thought of going in on an L-19 with .30`s and the 2.5"rocket pods.I logged plenty of flight time anyway. It would have been cool to control the asset instead of getting on the manifest.Well, at least I didn`t pop the rivets on my personel L-19 with a split S.It didn`t cost them anything. We had WW11 and Korea guys then.Once you learn the trick to get the bolt back in and screw the headspace about right you are in the killing business. If it`s running off, you can screw the bbl. in or out.But beginers should have the go/no go headspace gauge.I suppose you could get loose enough to get case seperation.Too tight,no big deal,it won`t chamber into battery. We test fired,so no real nasty surprises in the bush with our NVA buds. We killed most of the 9th. VC Div. in `66-`67.We were winning then.
I flew to Saigon and paid a buck for a headspace gauge on the street.I should have kept it.Screw the FNG`s.
Isn`t the issue Browning pocket pistol.380 and .32ACP the 1903? That has to be close in the development time.I could look it up.I`d hate to steal all of the glory though.
On the aircraft gun issue; guess which side I`m on?I was talking with Robin Olds and Steve Ritchie last summer at Oshkosh.Robin is a gun guy.Steve likes missles.I had a big argument,(well not really. He couldn`t answer my questions.), with the chief designer of the F-22,if it`s ever operational. It has a gun, but 480 rds. With that capacity; why pack the weight? The spec was 500,but 480 fits. You know about that crap Bruce.
Boy, this my English teacher`s nightmare. I just stuck stuff in.
