Why do people EDC big knives?

I typically carry what most people would consider a "large" knife because I'm a "large" man. It's all about scale for me.

I'd like to buy a Mofo one day... one day!

Same reason short guys drive massive lifted diesel trucks.

Because they CAN. But they need a ladder to get into the cab. I will say that I have seen chips on short guy's shoulders more than once.... they don't even realize it. It is part of their psyche.... short = inferior. Hence, small knife = inferior knife.

it doesnt matter.

if a person is within thier rights and are upstanding citizens , their choice of tools and weapons are not my business.

Same reason short guys drive massive lifted diesel trucks.

Because they don't want to take the bus?
Yeah, I guess it might be intimidating to all those short people being around all us tall guys on the bus.

Thank God they make trucks for people scared to take the bus.

(That must be what you were getting at, right? You weren't thinking of genitals again, I hope...;))

From trying out different knives, I have come to the conclusion that I just like larger knives. I'm not a huge guy (6'1", size XL hands), but larger knives just feel better. I have been EDCing a ZT0600 for a while now (love it!), and I carried my 0780 for the last couple of days and it seems tiny. Speaking of tiny, I do always carry a smaller knife along with the larger one.

I'm kidding guys. I knew people with lifted trucks, and we're big dudes.
But have seen many shorties driving huge trucks where I live.

I just posted this picture in another thread, sorry. But look how big this pocket knife is!
(Belongs to an officer)

The best reasons I can think of is, other than purely subjective reasons such as a person wanting to,

For self defensive purposes,

The person regularly encounters tasks that need it,

or the whole small penis thing.

I get the whole penis thing... Thats why I avoid carrying anything with more than a 7" blade... Don't want to be accused of trying to compensate.

Bigger is badder  ! I only EDC four and under only because my shorts would start dragging otherwise...

The same way thread necromancy is?
;)

Wait... if you post a new thread on a topic that's been covered before, you get busted for failing to use the search function. If you use the search function and revive an old thread, you're charged with thread necromancy. I'm so confused. ;)
