Why do some posts show up in "new posts"

while others do not? I tend to hit the new posts button while in a hurry to scan for new stuff but when going to the individual forums I see posts that were not listed. Just an observation. Thanks......Randy

I hardly ever go into individual forums to check on things, I always just refresh on the very front page of bladeforums.com where it shows the most recent threads, this doesn't appear to be the same thing as what you get in "new posts" but I'd be very interested to know if it had the same issues of not showing all the posts.
