Why do we not see more offerings in M4

That would be my guess to. My next folder is going to be one with m4.

I doubt it is the expense, maybe the working with it. The Gayle Bradley was and still is one of the better bargains. Sal has said many times that their pricing reflects a fairly constant markup based on costs alone. Add to that, that this was a collaboration and royalties are paid to Mr. Bradley. Also, I asked Sal if the royalties are pretty even across the board and he said yes. I paid $135 shipped for mine mid last year. A very very good deal what you are getting imo. I think if you simply took a Sage 1 (SS liners, same CF as the GB) and beefed it up and made it a collaboration (royalties paid out), you would be hard pressed to get any cheaper than the GB, and the only variable would be S30V vs. M4. I wonder if it is simply that non-knife nuts shy away from non-SS.
