"Why do you always carry a knife?"

For how useful the tool is and how little space it takes up. Also, I enjoy knives and enjoy showing them off to people. I find them very interesting and have always liked to collect them, even when I was younger.

You pretty much sum it up perfectly right there. I've always felt the same way regarding the benefit vs the pocket space. If you combine the compactness and the benefit with the saying "It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it", it's really a 'no-brainer' to carry a knife no matter what "type" of person you are. I bought every women in my family a Delica to put in their purse's because there's no point in not having a knife.

Because I don't have a CCW permit and I feel obligated to protect this great country when the Canadians invade across the Detroit river. If they attack while I'm at home, I have my 12 ga shotgun and 30-30. But away from home, I am limited to my knife, wits, and fighting skills honed over many hours of Chuck Norris movies and Call of Duty gameplay.

Sleep well my friends, we Members of the United Northern States Against the Future Invasion of Canucks (MUNSAFIC) are on guard.
