Why do YOU love your Hinderer?

The direct purchase program should not be abused or used in a deceitful manner. Having a qualified person buy a knife for another is similar to buying a firearm for someone other than the person filling out the form. Answer that question incorrectly and the sale does not happen.

I'm not sure if the two are on the same playing field, but I understand what you're trying to say.

Hinderer knives is a good company and they are good people. The direct orders should go to our soldiers, police, firefighters, and first responders who need them for their duties where they might help save a life. The rest of us should buy from dealers and the exchange. I would feel terrible deceiving them like that. I am happy to pay a little bit more than the people who deserve the direct order discount. Be patient and one will show. You can always buy one similar to what you want and get a new scale later from hinderer or monkey edge.

Krav- I've been monitoring sites, but none of them have the configuration I'm after, I think I found one site with it and they wanted far too much. My brother is active duty, and I'm considering asking him to order direct from Hinderer for me, but I'm not sure if that'd be considered an "abuse" of Rick's kind offering to active duty.

Lone Wolfe- I'll definitely keep scouring the various outlets, thanks.

Yes- That would be abuse of the policy.

I prefer the non-flipper 3" - I tend to use thumb studs rather than flippers anyway. This is a great knife in every aspect, and CRK's are great, too. But I like the ability to switch out scales on a whim.

Also is a custom knife dealer with huge inventory, I don't think they are a paid member on BF so I have to refrain from using there name. It will be normal prices too. On a lot of these sites I would set up e mail alerts when the knife I was looking for came into stock I would receive conformation. BF exchange is a great idea.

Alright, then I will not take that route. Thank you all for filling me in.

I'll just keep scouring until I find what I'm after.

Keep an eye on the exchange, there were four for sale since late last night/early this morning.

To stay on topic, I love Hinderers because I know IF I ever truly need a knife in a certain situation it will not fail me.

Yeah, I really dig this aspect too - like getting a new/different knife. My wife did question my manliness the other day though when I left open the box I have all of my spare scales lined up in... Something about accessorizing, I think it was..
