Why do you never see any BAe for sale

I've had a couple of BAE's and let them go. They were my grail for a while when I first found Busse. I would have to say that there are many more impressive Busse's out there now. The blade height combined with short OAL on the BAE's make's for a VERY stout feeling knife. Too stout for my taste. I actually prefer the NOE over the BAE after handling them both, even though the NOE is longer than I normally prefer.

Good luck finding one! I think the SAR4's are a good substitute. Or, for the BAIII, you may like the Pork Shank. I still have a DABA, and I plan on hanging on to it!

The SAR4 is the other knife I am looking at. As a rule though I prefer coated blades and micarta but I guess if push come to shove I would get an SAR4. Do you guys know by chance if I do get a SAR4 can I send it to Busse have them coat it and change the scales to micarta?

I like the blade designs of the basic line but I just hate the Res C handles I dont know why I just dislike them.

No worries, we all start somewhere. To answer your question, it's the HHFSH - Heavy Heart Fusion Steel Heart.
It's also the current logo knife, stamped on the blade with BUSSE COMBAT.

I would also just like to throw out there that pretty much whatever Busse I'm looking
for at the moment is suddenly in scarce supply.
