Why do you want to be a Beckerhead?

I like turtles!!

Who is ED?

He's also known around these forums as Limp Biscuit or Mr. Softee....I do believe he was nicknamed that by Paula Deen in her book on baked goods, "Beer, Buns, Boners, & Biscuits - How to Get a Rise Out of Your Pretzel" :D

I have been a beckerhead for years and did not know it until I discovered bladeforums. I have every camillus becker model made except for one. But I have not accomplished the threshold it takes to get a Beckerhead number in Blade Forums so I can become an Official Beckerhead. I read the forums on a consistent basis but just cant find a way to fulfill he requirements. Maybe one day I will figure it out. Am I a Beckerhead? Yes, but not officially.

Wanna be a Becker head 'cause Beckerheads are cool. Wanna be cool. Wanna be a Beckerhead. Beckerheads are good people.

That is all.

(I'm 1 thread start short of qualifying. Won't be long before I'm eligible. ;) )

I am still waiting to qualify as a BH , but will be pleased when I get there! I spent several years of my life working as a cook in Restaurants, and in that world a quality set of knives is absolutely mandatory, so I started to appreciate the difference between a budget blade and a great blade. Now I don't work in kitchens anymore but I do try to get out in the woods whenever possible and I of course want to carry a blade in the woods that will do many things well with no fear of breaking etc. I read a review somewhere of a BK2 and bought one, then I found this forum and encountered some great guys who love knives, and are cool, so I want to continue to be a part of the community. My Becker collection has grown, and so has my knowledge of knives, and this is a place that I tend to visit daily just to see what is happening. I like it here.

I just wanted to hang out with the cool kids,

Mooze,

Tooth,

Guy One,

And Blade Dyke,

And I wanted to help promote a product that I saw a batch of value in, with very little pretence. Also to learn and to help others when I can.

And the free cookbook of course!

There is no "want" to be a Beckerhead.
you either are or you are not, whether or not it's been officially recognized in this subforum.
of course, RHIP (recognition hath its privileges) :D

Good point. I guess that makes me an unofficial or unrecognized BH.

I would love to see a picture of your collection! I'd imagine it rivals what Bladite or Guyon have.
