Why does the 'idaho made' stamp exist?

I've wondered why this bothers some people. I'm sure someone out there thinks "Colorado, Earth" is weird too. USA is USA.
 
Thanks to the USMC and other veterans, Americans have fewer real worries than they might have had, and feel free to worry about problems that don't harm them! :)
