havent recieved one gbu review from any of them-
i left good words about each-

i know im pretty ugly and might be ripe on most days- figured the internet would hide that my looks and foul odor- guess not

Just flippin' ask already!
If you want praise, FIRST state that you will leave positive feedback for them, and THEN politely ask that your trader/buyer/seller leave positive feed for you IF they feel a good deal was completed. It's not that complicated. Just be polite! I did this on a number of occasions in my early days!
Good Luck!

I've done about a dozen deals on various forums and always leave good feedback. Only once or twice has anybody ever returned the favor, even though the deals were good. There are just some people who like to leave feedback and others don't. It's just a lot more important to not have any bad feedback.

It's a point of irritation for me too, but it happens. Some folks just don't do it, either by choice or just not giving it any consideration at all. What chaps me is seeing someone I do a trade with not giving me some positive feedback, but then posting something like "Great service from Surefire." Uh, yeah...I think Surefire's fortunes will probably improve, thanks to that bit of praise.

Forget it and move on. As TorzJohnson said, you just don't want to get any negatives.

I'd think it would be common courtesy for those who are aware of this forum's existance to post positive feedback when it's deserved. If I'm wrong, that's sad, I guess.

I have never asked for it, and I really don't care if they give me any feedback. Unless I somehow forget to do so, I will at the very least add them to my good list.

Unless it is someone I am familiar with, I always check GB&U when doing a deal. Thread after thread of positive feedback on a long time member and I would send the knife before I had the money. If there is no feedback and its a new guy, I may want money first. I also appreciate it when I get positive feedback as I think it helps others who may deal with me. I will not ask someone to give me good feedback. Either they give it or they don't. Asking just don't seem right.

I have never dealt with you, rosconey2, but if I ever did I would heap praise on your ugly, smelly self. I promise:D

Most of the time I don't leave feedback anymore because I've done so much dealing that I don't really need any more positives, but it is always nice to receive them, then I reciprocate (if I remember to check this forum that week). If you deal with me, just ask, and I will be happy to, but don't ask me like in such a way that you're making it sound like you're expecting it. That REALLY annoys me. When I deal a complete noob, or someone with only a couple of pos. marks mentioned, I always leave good news.

I went through a period of being pretty lax about acknowledging deals, because everyone I dealt with was so uniformly good, it seemed the routine.

Now I try to remember it only takes me a few minutes to post a quick attaboy and email them letting them know the knife or money arrived and giving them a link to the GBU post.

The rest is history, I'm not going to grumble if they're too busy or going through a period of being pretty lax about it themselves just now.

It is a lot more important for their reputation when dealing with newbies, even though many newbies may only be new to us, and do know and follow all the best procedures anyone else would.

I've bought a lot of knives here and on the other forum in the last few years. I've even sold a few. All my deals except one has gone smooth and the people were super to do business with.

I've only left one post on GB&U, good or bad, and that was because the person I sold the knife to said that they were very pleased with the deal and that they would leave positive feedback. I don't think he asked me to do the same but I reciprocated because thats just a polite thing to do.

I think it's what esav said. Your dealings seem to go so well that it becomes routine and you don't think about it. Sad I guess.

Most of us are like old farm dogs. Give us a scratch behind the ears once in a while and we'll wag our tails in appreciation.:D
