You should allow your email in your profile. ;)

If you want my c301, it's yours. I never carry it, mainly because the clip is only a tip-down configuration. (I prefer tip-up.) Email me your address and I'll get it out to you whenever you get back.

Sorry about that, I think I don't have enough privileges in my account to allow messaging.

Thanks a lot for the offer, that's really nice of you. However I still don't know when I'm getting back home so I don't think its fair to keep you waiting (It might be a year or more). If by the time I get back you still have it, I'll be more than happy to trade it for a custom Mexican knife.

Thanks again for the offer, best regards.

Let's see, my list of Leatherman tools that I own is a MUT, a Supertool 300, a Surge, a Wave, a Charge TTi, a Skeletool CX, a Freestyle CX, a Freestyle, a Style CS, a Squirt ES4, a Squirt PS4, a Micra, and a Style. For some reason they just push my buttons and I gotta have 'em. I also have a couple of Victorinox's. I have SwissTool Spirit Road Tour and the SwissTool Spirit. I have a SOG Powerlock EODw/V-cutter, and to top it all off, I have a Gerber Shortcut.
So Leatherman is definitely my favorite, perhaps due to the variety, but Victorinox is definitely a close second.

Love leatherman MT, but their folders have never done anything for me. Handled some of them, and they just don't feel right. Imo, you are much better off with a dedicated knife producer.

I mean, for virtually the same price point, you could get a Spyderco Tenacious, which I think is a much better performer.

I used to feel the same way until getting acquainted with a Crater c33T. It went into rotation a few months ago, and I've grown quite fond of it. Only slightly wider than a single-bladed folder, it handles well enough, and the extra functionality is very appealing to a gadget junky like me :) .

In addition to the blade for cutting chores, I use the knife's carabiner almost every day to lift beer bottle caps, which it does nicely. Although the screwdrivers don't lock, they are pretty secure in use, which is good because I often find something that needs prying or screwing. Just yesterday AM, while I was shaving, a bolt had backed out of the wall-mounted adjustable mirror I was using and it suddenly fell apart in my hands. At the time I happened to have had the c33T in my pocket, and with the slotted driver, fixed the mirror mount without having to go fetch a screwdriver.

Can't do that with a Tenacious ;) .

Oh, yeah, and flipping the blade is serious fun.

I carry a Leatherman k502x and it is OK. The 154cm blade is pretty decent.
The main reason I carry it though is because it is a multi-tool whereas my Spyderco Endura and Ontario RAT-1 are just knives, which may be illegal to carry here. If I was ever searched by police I would attempt to explain that what I am carrying are just tools, but a locking knife COULD be deemed to be a weapon, which is illegal here. I don't even know if I would get away with carrying the k502x, but unless I am searched no one knows that I have it.
Most of the time I just use my Victorinox Cybertool 34 - no one considers it a weapon and it handles >98% of my normal day to day requirements. Unless I NEED the bigger locking blade of my k502x I would never get it out in public - just in case some weird knife hating person freaks out.

I guess if there was no chance of getting in trouble for doing it I would carry my Endura or RAT-1 instead, mainly because I already have a SAK and a pliers based multi-tool on my belt.

I have numerous LeatherMans as well. I like them all. The big Surge has it's place when i need a locking tool. I also have an original LeatherMan & 2 of thier small keychain ones with the scissors (in the middle) instead of the pliers. They all work great & have thier purpose. I do not find them difficult to sharpen either. I guess i have never owned another brand because i have never had an instance where mine did'nt work/do the job or just never had plain fail. They have saved me & many, many others from being stranded many times. I have fixed my truck once, mine & others atv's many, many, many times, saved a strangleing dog once, ect... ect... . They are just so handy to have.
