Why don't more people go with blue/black G10?

This is probably my favorite color combination and the second least common one I see besides red/black. Too bright? Unnatural colors? What's up?

I nearly got it on one of my TGLBs but in the end I thought it might be too bright. I will probably regret it because it really looks great.

Don't ask me, I have no taste at all, since I'd have everything in hot pink if I could. Nice pic.
 
Just doesn't appeal to my tastes. It looks nice, but nothing something I want on my knife :) On the other spectrum, I'd probably rock the orange and black if I went with colors, but not yellow and black. Go figure, right? :D
 
I like that color combo and ordered my first Busse with those scales, but I found that I don't like the bright shade of blue and the consistent, straight layers used in G10. I prefer something with a less artificial and a more natural look. The right texturing helps, though. It looks pretty cool on the Anniversary Mean Street.
 
I agrre with someone. The texturing really matters when it comes to the colored G10. I really like my yellow and black SCABS but the Magnum Bear cub was only so so. The orange is the only thing that seems to look good in any texture.
 
I have several bark river knives in blue glow G10 and the blue black simply can't compete. I would like to see Busse do more solid color G10s. IMO they look way better.
 
Every time I get something in Blue and Black AZTim talks me out of it .
 
I've got Blue/Black on a couple satin Rats and a HRLM and Yellow/Black on a TB and MBC and Red/Black on a RMD SE may have a few others but these are top of my head.

I'm most all the cases, they were scored at shows or Ganzas where the color of the handle wasn't up to choice. It was order / buy it or don't.

I like variety and if fewer folks like the color(s) I'm fine with that. The more unique the item, often the more I like it.
 
It's a Mtn Mike sheath and yes it's a frog. It also has a loop so I can hang it or tuck it
 
Got a blue and black G10, Tanker gray NMFSH coming. It's my first blue and black. So we will see, may be going for spa and switched to black with black/tan g10 lol. But I'm giving it a shot ! Hell it's still INFI !!!!! :-)
 
BRKT offers a matte blue/black as well as the reg blue/black. It's a nice option for those of us that find the blue/black too bright. The g10 doesn't darken like the micarta so it's important to me that its not too bright.
 
Pretty sure a lot of us here like it to some degree and own one or more.

Search this forum for "bruiser". :thumbup: There's something like 8-10 pages of threads & posts (& pix) on this G-10. :)
