I have a neighbor that is an I.C.E. agent and he has stacks and stacks of .40 that he gets free from the agency. His wife complains all the time that it takes up too much room in their closet. He never goes to the range. :mad:
 
Cbear - it's not bad, the kydex I had on hand is stupid thick, so the sheath itself is heavy, but as a proof of concept piece it works OK.
710 - nice work on the scales & sheath.
Todd - good looking skinner. first time I've seen a reason for a harpoon tip other than gp mall ninja-ry.
 
I have never handled a Gen 4 Glock. My 23 is a Gen 3 with a 3.5 lb Ghost trigger it is by far the best shooting pistol I own. I used to shoot a lot of IDPA I started with the 23 since that was what I had. Later I got a G35 but I still liked the 23 better. Ammo got high enough that I couldnt shoot a few hundred rounds a week so I dont any more.
 
Here's a find from a fossil hunt I had a couple of days ago. 2.8 inches, the biggest one of this species I've found to date (Cosmopolitodus hastalis, Pliocene era).

hey, I got that same glock 2 months ago! shoots good, have taken her to the range twice now, even with .40 being scarce. But my main truck companion is my sig sp2022...let's see if the glock bumps her for a break. Nice RMD, wood, too bad I want a black blade with black paper, otherwise I'd go for it.

Hey Zulu I think i have a trade in the works for a 1311 but you could have always got this one, sold it, and bought a black on black one and have enough left over for a sheath :) this one is a custom so it cost me a bit more to be made! But i wouldnt suggest selling this one for a black model, and i bet if you held it you wouldnt let it go lmao. I know i wouldnt ever sell an RMD SE FFG version unless i had others!!! Its the most awesom knife. I have regular CG version and a few different customs, but these FFG versions are amazing! I just cant bring mysself to use them lmao


On another note i just got back from playing with my new hawk, getting a thread together with pictures but its a dream to use! And throws wonderfully. first 4 times stuck without issues 5th time bounced off, but out of 40-50 throws it stuck all but maybe 4-5 times. Very easy to throw from ~15 feet or so.
 
Man what a pig stye. I have spent all day cleaning the shop. Its so bad, the wife and both of my kids felt sorry for me and all four of us spent the whole day cleaning.. been at it 6 hrs. and it still doent look much different. That's the last time I let it go that long. Still paying for the blade show crunch.
 
1 Full spin, naturally, meaning i dont try and flip it any and i dont try to stiffen my wrist to reduce the spin either.

And i had no measuring tape but was throwing from about 5 paces out, now that i am home 5 paces measures closer to 25 feet than 15.

At 10 paces i wasnt doing too well for the first 10-12 throws but finally got to where i was able to make it stick 3 times in a row.

I had absolutely NO experience throwing hawks, And I fell in love when this thing stuck my first 4 throws ever :)

Ill be getting a few more hawks. they are FUN!
