Exactly. I still don't fully understand why a balisong is outlawed in most of the world.

I don't understand the why for lots of laws. Well,I do. Many of them benefit friends of politicians. Some of them increase the power of law enforcement. And once in awhile one gets passed for the public good. Knife laws fall under the second reason.
