Why have knife sales skyrocketed

Economic stimulus money.

When people have more money they buy more stuff.

But how exactly does one determine that knife sales have skyrocketed?

If it's a lack of stock, supply chains have been affected by the pandemic and could explain the shortage.

Knives actually fall under much less restrictive legislation.
(Doesn't matter to me: I like both!)

It seems that hobby sales went up dramatically in the last year. I collect slot cars and it’s the same thing with those. Supply is down, and shipping problems are keeping the shelves bare, so people are buying up any and all cars.

Because knives are awesome. Sure, I have a couple guns as well but knives are better imo, as a hobby. Personal preference!

I think people have more time on their hands to tinker with their gear and building a collection is a fun past time as we all know. In addition, there may be some feedback loop with materials scarcity. It might seem like more knives are being sold because there are so many items out of stock but the stock problems might be more a factor of production numbers being down rather than more knives being sold. The true answer is probably a combination of several factors.

DLC knives are worst. Black Knives Matter.
