This forum is a breath of fresh air. There are some great people on here. The folks here are very nice and they are respectful of each other (except for a few visitors) and of new comers. Even when there is a difference of opinion there is still that camaraderie. Another thing I like is that there is a lot of discussion of actual use of knives and different knife related life events and actions. Many forums are all about this steel, that rope cutting test, etc. and that does have its place, but it is also boring. Also, I am a long way from home and I enjoy the stories and homespun feel of this place.

What about all of you? What keeps you all coming back?

Those two post say it all for me especially Doc's opening of the thread! I may not always post on the SPS but I always check it out.

I like that it's the same bunch of guys posting great pictures, sharing stories and providing info. I've had questions about Bucks (and still do), and I can always count on getting quality, respectful answers from this group. Buck has always been a favorite of mine, but I have to say this forum has made me an even bigger fan. There is definitely a friendly, family vibe here....

Like the forum too as most are willing to help a newb with advice. Best to ask first before jumping in blind on a certain model. Plenty of differences in steel and overall quality of knives. Glad I got opinions before making purchases. I believe in Quality not Quantity.

I like it because a guy can come here to get his questions answered about the year of his knife, the sheath and steel. Without a bunch of arguing. Plus, see some pictures of Buck knives that most people don't know exist. With a healthy dose of home spun humor thrown in. DM

I've liked and owned Buck knives for 45 years; this forum is the place were lots of other folks that like Buck knives as much (or more) than me gather to show them and talk about them - I just like being part of that! OH

Hi All,

Looking at your join dates makes me an old timer on this thread ;). I have seen a bunch of folks come and a bunch of folks go over the years, some I'm sure members were happy to see go. But, mostly the folks who no longer visit are missed! What makes this forum great are all of you, without you guys & gals this forum would not work. Thank you all!

I visit here almost every day; however, I don't post as much as I used too. I still learn something new here every week. You all nailed it, this place is like a family. With all families there are a few arguments, and well you don't get to choose your family.....sorry.

7 days off!!!! Oh ya

I've always liked bucks and wanted to get a few more 110's. Glad I found this site before starting, I got a BG42 from SK, a new one, and just picked up a couple 3 liners that I know quite a bit about from a post from a couple years ago with very detailed info and pics that some of you contributed to. Makes it more fun to search when you have knowledge. Thanks a bunch.

John, thanks for hanging with us this long. We need everyone of you guys and ladies. You're what makes it fun. DM

I log in twice a day and this is one of the three section I check each time.....Nice guys and interesting stories and Buck knife info.....I have been a member a long time too! I miss a few of our members that are no longer with us.....

Some of those other forums are pretty cut throat . Not only is it the people here and the knowledge, but 300Bucks has got to be the best moderator on the forums.

Me too. I do not always comment, but I do read.

I will get his check in the mail.....no bows for me, just ask my wife. I spill stuff in the floor on a frequent basis, she sat aside my own spill wipe up old towels. I am surprised my keyboard still works.......300

I like it here because I love Buck knives and everyone here does as well as me. In high school in the 70s I was one of the guys who had a gun rack in their Pickups (30/30 and 22LR 45 under the seat) and I parked where others that had the same gun racks in their trucks parked.( Lots of Hunters at my school) My point is that's kind of like here I guess to me.
Some people here blow my mind at the Buck knowledge right off the tops of their heads.

I have been on this forum for a while and can say I enjoy the people and their stories about their Buck knives. I try to be a part of the Greatest Show each Sunday as I enjoy seeing the knives so I want it to always be there.

I don't post very often but I read the post everyday. The Buck section is one of my favourites Especially on Sundays

Ditto to all. I'm have a lot of passion for Buck knives. The people the most. I tend to over react and defend buck. But I love it here.
