Why I love Victorinox!

I agree with all the post. And as a side, they are great for collectors. Its fun collecting at least one of every configuration whether i need it or not.
Haven’t got into finding and buying some really old ones “ YET” but i’m sure it’s on my list.

David, SAK's are in a class all by themselves when it comes to collecting. Not only is there lot of variations, but no matter what one you drop in your pocket in the morning, you'll have a whole little bundle of useful tools on hand. By SAK standards, all other dedicated pocket knives and folders, even the big tacticool's, are just shallow one trick ponies. I've lost count of how many times I was able to fix/jury rig/cobb together something out in the boonies because I had a screw driver or a few other basic tools on hand on my SAK.

If I had to pick just one pocket knife to go down the road with, it would be a SAK of some kind.

Heck, you can make a nice collection of the old cross alox SAK's that were real military issue. Then there's the Dutch Army knives, and the ...
 
Still waiting for my 1989 Swiss Champion to get back from Victorinox repair dept. sent it Jan 21st. They said they were taking 3weeks so i guess it got real busy.
The next model i would like to get is the Explorer.
